My works are experimenting with ink and wax – different types of wax and sometimes many layers of both ink and wax together.
The resulting textures often remind me of the hidden world within and beneath tree bark – sometimes what is happening just below the surface, and sometimes what is left on the surface.
I seek to find the spiritual in the unknown between light and dark – that grey area existence where we don’t always want to go but which is forever part of everyone of us.
